[Warren1 2:63] Mrs Shove wife of Levi Shove died in a fit aged 74 years. Mr Levi Shove died aged 76 years.

[Warren1 2:11] 28 July 1814, Polly Shove, daughter of Levi Shove aged 20 years died of Typus Fever.

[Savage 4:90] SS, after leaving college taught school for some years at Newbury and probably other places, was ordained 13 October 1697 and may have had wife and children.
[Danbury1 15,33,49,177,280] Rev. Mr. Seth Shove, deceased of Danbury. Inventory of estate on 4 March 1735/6. Madam Abigail Shove, widow. Also mentions Mary Minor, Hannah Starr and Lydia Bouton. Inventory of his library was made by Daniel Boardman, John Graham, and Ebenezer White.
SS was the first minister, ordained in 1696 and died 3 October 1735, aged 68. He was a very pious and worthy man, who was very succesful in his exertions for the promotion of peace, virtue and true religion, so that the general peace and union in his time are proverbial at this day.
The last living grandson of Francis Bushnell was Daniel Shove.
In the Danbury Journal, 4 Jan 1791, a death item: Mrs Hannah Pearce, wife of Joshua Pearce of Cornwall who was in her 83rd year. She was the daughter of Rev. Seth Shove, the first Presbyterian minister settled in this town. She had 4 husbands, namely, Comfort Starr of this town, Thomas Hill of Fairfield, Peter Lockwood of Wilton, and the above mentioned Mr. Pearce. She was a woman of unbounded affection and charity, and possessed in an eminent degree the esteem of her acquaintances.
SS was the son of Rev. George Shove and Hopestill Newman and graduated from Harvard College in 1687, was in Simsbury from 1691 until he Settled in Danbury.
