[Spencer 19-21] In 1630, emigrated to NE with brothers Thomas, William and Michael and settled in Cambridge until 1637. Then moved to Lynn and from there to Hartford in 1660; to Haddam Conn in 1662. A freeman in 1637, ensign in the Lynn Trainband 1636, Deputy from Haddam to the General Court 1674-1680. Will is dated 17 September 1683, probated 1685 at Hartford. 13 children, the 12th of which was Sarah who married Stephen Backus of Norwich.
