This family appears to have left the parish of Filby shortly after the death of Francis' mother in February 1609. They are next found in Great Yarmouth where he died. In his will dated 6 September 1645 and proved 29 January 1678/8 at Norwich FW, yeoman, being weake and sick in body, ...

[NEHGR 141:114-120] Married Alice (--) Pixton, a widow with tow or three children, probably the with widow of Thomas Pixton. RW's name is found in 1593 and 1597 subsidy rolls for Filby and on the Ormseby Rental Roll. the will of RW of ffylbey, yeoman, was dated 12 December 1598 and proved at Great Yarmouth 23 January 1598/9. Alice Ward of ffilby, wyddowe the relict of Robert Warde, being aged and feable and weake in body but strong in mynde, made her will 12 February 1603/4, proved at Great Yarmouth 28 March 1609 [RW will is printed, AW will described].

[NEHGR 141:114-120] RW, the Elder. Married 20 at Great Yarmouth 28 October 1573, Cicely (--) Baldry, the widow of Edmund Baldry; she was buried 28 January 1598 at Filby, as Cicely Huggen, ``sometime wife of Roger Warde''. RW was nemed in subsidy rolls at Filby in 1546, 1551 and 1552. A 1563 rental roll for Ormseby lists his name confirming his holdings there. In his will dated 8 May 1579 and proved at Norwich 26 August 1579, RW of filby, yeoman, requested that he be buried within the parish church of Filby and left 20s for reparation of the church. in his will he mentions his children Thomas, John, his daughter Luch Church, and his son Robert Ward; he also mentions lands, tenements, pastures, feedings and breweries ... in Filby, Ormseby, Mautby, and Thrykby.
