[LDS-IGI] There are several Abigail Weeds listed of approximately the right age. AW, the daughter of JW and AT is the only one from Ridgefield and who is the right age to be 74 when she died.

[Stamford2 198-9] DW. b. c 1643. DW went to Rye c1677, to Bedford 1680-5 and then returned to Stamford. Ruth married 2) in 1705 Peter Ferris.

[Weed 32] Bougth a house and home in Stamford. In March 1675-6 was one of 5 chosen to attend to fortifications. In November 1692, he was one of three to persuade Davenport of New Haven to become the minister at Stamford. Was a deputy from Stamford to the Connecticut legislature October 1694-6.

[NCHS 1:1 19-30] Watertown 1628-9, Wethersfield 1635, and Stamford 1642.

[Stamford2 198] JW, b. c1598, d.1676, married Mary Hoyt (d. c1690). JW was probably born in Yorkshire and came to NE in the Arabella in 1630. Freeman in Watertown Mass in 1631; to Wethersfield 1635. In Stamford in 1642 and lived on the north corner of the road to the hill and `river street'.

[Weed 18] 29 March 1630 left in the Arabella and arrived in Salem 13 June 1630. Founder with Saltonstall of Watertown Mass. 29 May 1635 left to go to Wethersfield (then called Puquag) where his home was at the extreme northern end of the east side of the present High street. Juror in 1639. Must have moved to Stamford in 1640.
