To loving kinsman John Ormsley; to sister Smith; to cousins Grace Ormsley, Thomas Ormsley and Jacon Ormsley. To cousin Clapp, and kinswoman Jane Clapp; to brouther Upham his chd at Mauldin. [NEHGR 63:79] Will of Richard Martin of Rehoboth, dated 2 June 1686. He "being Aged and Not Knowing the day of my Death". ...My grandchild John Ormsby, my daughter Grace's eldest son, shall improve said lands "until my Grandchildren in Old England come over to make use of them, and if they never come over: etc. the said John ormsby to ave hold and enjoy them for ever. ... Houlsehold goods to be divided between my three children that are in NE, viz: John Grace and Annis, son John to have one half, the other half to be equally divided between Grace and Annis. My cattle to be equally divided between son John and daughter Grace Ormsby and Annis Chaffee.

[Ormsby] RO born probably at Lancashire. First recorded at Saco Maine in 1639 where his first wife died . Married 2nd widow SW, who may have been at Upham (se Bartlett's Wanton Family, 1878). Ro moved from Saco to Haverhill, then to Salisbury, and finally to Rehoboth.
[NEHGR 6:186] RO's will probated 3rd day 5th mo 1664 and the estate valued at 45-14-06.
