Aim of the Experiment
This experiment primarily deals with Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) receiver. You will attempt to recover the signal from the output of your previous experiment.
We will not be implementing the symbol clock recovery portion of the receiver front end subsystem. It is important for you to understand the concepts of Chapter 13 of the Tretter Lab manual.
Equipment to be checked out
Lab #7 requires you to connect 2 DSP boards using a T connector. To check if the connector is working or not is to use WriteSample directly what you read at the receiver. What you should see on the scope is the transmitted (modulated) signal. Small distortion is normal and expected but the received signal should look very similar to the transmitted signal.
